Bad Wallpaper

So all of the rooms in the house were covered in wallpaper (some had three layers that had been painted over several times). We stripped all of the walls, fixed the giant holes and painted. In one room the wall paper had been painted black and fire engine red and in another room bright green and purple, YUCK. Also the wallpaper had started to peel off the walls at the seams due to the humidity and the previous owners simply installed vertical wooden strips (floor to ceiling) to rectify the situation.
